Seller Policy

Last updated: May 29, 2026

This policy governs how vendors sell on Shishyastra. It complements our Terms of Service and applies to every registered seller. Read it before listing products.

1. Eligibility & verification

Sellers must be 18 or older and provide valid KYC documents (citizenship/PAN/VAT or business registration as applicable). Your store goes live only after our team approves your submission.

2. Product listings

Listings must be accurate, lawful, and your own. Prohibited goods include counterfeits, illegal items, weapons, and anything restricted under Nepali law. Misleading titles, fake discounts, or stolen images are not allowed.

3. Pricing & stock

You set your own prices in NPR and are responsible for keeping stock levels accurate. Orders for out-of-stock items hurt buyers and your store rating, so keep inventory current.

4. Order fulfillment

Confirm and dispatch orders within the handling time shown on your listings. Persistent late shipments, cancellations, or non-fulfillment can lead to penalties or suspension.

5. Commission & payouts

Shishyastra deducts a platform commission per completed sale. Payouts are released to your registered account on the standard settlement cycle after the return window closes.

6. Returns & disputes

You must honor the platform return policy for eligible items. For damage or "not as described" claims, cooperate with our dispute resolution; unjustified refusals may be decided in the buyer’s favor.

7. Reviews & conduct

Manipulating reviews, harassing customers, or attempting to take transactions off-platform are serious violations and grounds for removal.

8. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or close stores that violate this policy, our Terms of Service, or Nepali law. You may close your store anytime after settling pending orders and payouts.
